COVID-19 Update – 19th March 2020
Posted on 19th Mar 2020
TAD Australia’s priority is to continue to serve the community of people living with a disability whilst maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all our clients, staff and volunteers. We will continue to follow the updated advice provided by the Government Chief Medical Officer and Prime Minister.
Assessment Days
As TAD Australia’s assessments are a private one on one appointments and not public events, all assessments will continue to run as normal with extra precautions.
All clients and carers attending assessment days should not attend if they or a close family member has been overseas or had flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days. We will be asking all clients about the above the day before their appointments.
Clients and their carers will be politely asked to go home if they present with any signs or symptoms of flu-like symptoms.
Our Occupational Therapist and other staff or volunteers involved on these assessment days will have hand sanitisers for all clients and visitors and disinfectant wipes to wipe down any products before and after use.
Reception and Assessment Areas
Even in these unprecedented times, we still welcome our clients to our local makerspaces and centres. If you have any flu-like symptoms or have travelled overseas in the last 14 days, please stay home and we will reschedule your visit.
When entering the building, please remember to take extra precaution by practicing hand hygiene. Hand sanitisers are located by the front desk of the building and soap is available at every sink in the building (kitchens and bathrooms).
Home Visits and Deliveries
Prior to any volunteers or staff visiting your home, please advise us if you or any close family member has been overseas or had flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days. If you have, the visit should be postponed for a later date. Our volunteers and staff will practice good hand hygiene with either sanitiser or soap and water immediately before and after home visits.
Home deliveries will continue as normal. Prior to a delivery being made by our volunteers, please advise our staff if you or any close family member has been overseas or had flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days. We can rearrange the delivery date or drop off the product in a safe location for you.
