Freedom Wheels Bikes
Our Freedom Wheels bikes include a range of attachments that have been designed to provide additional support for young riders. These bikes are available in 16", 20" and 24" bike frame sizes.
Our very own Freedom Wheels bike range have been specially designed and chosen to work with our wide range of customisations and adaptions.
Our engineer designed outrigger system provides stability from the ground up, creating a feeling of safety and steadiness. Unlike training wheels, this sturdy and tough system is integrated with a spring suspension matching the riders weight, ensuring the wheels stay on the ground at all times. This is a key component of all of the Freedom Wheels bikes, from the smallest to adult frames.
Our Product Specialists will further customise your bike with some or all of the below features:
- Fixed or free wheel pedal systems depending on the riders gross motor skill.
- Pedal modifications such as toe cages, heel straps, foot cups, leg and knee abductors, foot levellers and more.
- A huge range of saddle options provide stability and support as well as comfort.
- A high riser. This can allow an attendant to assist with forward movement, help anchor or slow the rider, can have a brake attached for attendant braking. Easily removed for transport, its also where our postural and lateral support system is mounted.
- Postural and lateral supports to assist with pelvic and core stability. Pelvic belts can also be fitted to aid stability and increase confidence.
- Brakes with locking pins to provide stability during transfers. Brake position can also be adjusted to suit the riders reach.
- Side steer for attendant steering assistance and rear steer (rear steer coming soon)
- Adult frame comes in both a small and large size
We can also assist with a wide variety of other customisations to suit the individual needs of the rider.
All of our additional supports can be easily removed without tools in seconds, meaning transport of the bike is simple on a car bike rack or roof stand.
